My favorite theory is Behaviorism. I was introduced to it before I even knew it was a psychological foundation. The idea that all animals learn by associations and consequences is cornerstone of my work. As a dog trainer, I have been applying the concepts of classical and operant conditioning not only with the pets I train, but also with their owners and handlers. Learning about Skinner and Pavlov's experiments is one thing but applying those concepts to living, sentient beings and getting results is incredible. I am currently training a puppy for a politician, I named him Pavlov because we are working with bells.
